Before talking about services

Do any of these signs sound familiar?

We don't start from a catalog. We start from what's already costing you time, margin, or regulatory exposure.

01
A previous consultancy that delivered a report, not an executable plan — and the distrust left behind.
02
Expansion decisions with no financial projection of your own — just generic estimates no one can justify to a board.
03
Projects with approved budget but no real governance — delays are found once they're already expensive to fix.
04
A diesel generator that can no longer keep up, with no clarity on what the SEC requires to migrate to solar PV + BESS without exposing operations.

Why everything we say can be verified

A real multidisciplinary team

Project management, legal advisory, permitting, industrial processes, PV, BESS and technical-economic analysis — coordinated, not separately outsourced.

A five-stage process, not a hunch

Initial diagnostic, identification of opportunities and constraints, roadmap design, technical-strategic support, and delivery of executive conclusions.

Applied to energy, infrastructure and industry

Photovoltaic generation, storage integration, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, tenders, and technical, legal and economic feasibility.

It's common to see the technical, legal and permitting fronts move forward separately, with no one connecting them. That's why we start with a diagnostic across all three fronts at once, and only then build the roadmap — so every decision is made with the same information, not three different versions. — Working principle of Consultora Ruta Maestra
How we work

Ruta Maestra Method

Four steps, always in the same order, so every figure you receive can be traced back to its source.

01

Discovery

Revenue, fixed and variable costs, available capital and real business objectives — nothing generic.

02

Detailed budget

Built in traceable tables, not as a loose meeting estimate.

03

Financial calculation

Break-even point, margins, ROI and 12–24 month cash-flow projection.

04

Three scenarios

Optimistic, realistic and pessimistic — every assumption explicitly justified in writing.

"We don't make anything up. If a figure isn't verified, we tell you so — we don't estimate it for you."

Evidence, not just narrative

What the method looks like in practice

Three examples drawn from our team's individual professional track record before founding Consultora Ruta Maestra — these are not engagements of the firm itself. We include them because they're the standard we apply to every new mandate today.

Pillar 02 · e-Mobility & Energy

Large-scale BESS delivery management (Sergio Cerda Maluenda's track record at Huawei Digital Power Chile)

Problem

Five major BESS projects (up to 200MW/800MWh) required early client negotiation, engineering and supply chain coordination, and long-term services, in a segment where delays and client complaints were common.

Intervention

Early Involvement contract negotiation, strategic delivery planning, and engineering, supply chain and commissioning coordination across all five projects: Los Loros, Santa Lya/Kallpa, Las Salinas, Valle del Sol and Azabache.

Deliverable

End-to-end delivery structure + long-term services (LTSA >20 years) + project governance from negotiation through commissioning.

Result

Client complaints brought to zero and annual revenue targets above USD 130M in the energy segment.

Pillars 01 and 02

From raising capital to managing USD 300M in spend (Sergio Cerda Castro's track record at Spora SpA and LATAM Airlines)

Problem

A startup needed to raise capital with a financial model that would hold up to international investors; later, a large-scale operation needed real discipline and savings in its strategic procurement.

Intervention

As PMO at Spora SpA, managed a USD 5M capital round, closing commercial agreements in the US, UK, Japan and Hong Kong. Currently leads strategic procurement at LATAM Airlines.

Deliverable

A spend-management model under real control, with a structured, traceable negotiation process.

Result

Spend under management exceeding USD 300M, with savings of more than USD 10M in 2025.

Pillars 01 and 02

Legal structuring of a major BESS project (Cristian Lorca Donoso's track record at Valdés & Cía)

Problem

A major BESS project ("Chañar 2") required a complex legal structure across SPV, sponsors and lenders, with EPC and project finance contracts, before financial close could move forward.

Intervention

As Senior Lawyer at Valdés & Cía, led the project's legal structuring, negotiating the framework agreement between Tecloman Chile SpA and Verano Power SpA.

Deliverable

EPC and project finance structure with clear risk allocation across SPV, sponsors and lenders.

Result

Framework agreement negotiated and a viable legal structure to move toward the project's financial close.

Pillar 03 · PMO

Large-scale telecommunications and datacenter infrastructure rollouts (Sergio Cerda Maluenda's track record, prior to Digital Power)

Problem

Critical infrastructure rollout programs with multiple simultaneous fronts, different contractors per region and demanding energization timelines, where a delay on one front drags the others with it.

Intervention

Program direction over RAN, FTTx, ICS systems and datacenter infrastructure rollouts, coordinating engineering, supply and contractors under a single governance structure.

Deliverable

Critical-path schedule per front, consolidated progress and risk reporting, and budget control across the full program.

Result

Programs of up to USD 1.8B managed, with deviation visibility ahead of the final milestone.

Typical engagement deliverables: an executable roadmap, a 12–24 month financial model, a risk matrix, a weekly PMO report, a PV+BESS technical-economic evaluation, an SEC compliance checklist.

Three pillars, not a catalog

A focused offering, with verifiable judgment in each pillar.

Each pillar has its own accountable team, method and evidence — they aren't three versions of the same service.

Before reaching out

We don't take on every mandate that comes our way

We'd rather tell you here than after a first meeting.

Good fit when

  • There's a capital budget already defined, even if preliminary
  • The mandate has a horizon of at least 3 months
  • A financial projection is needed that a board can review line by line
  • The energy project involves critical loads (380V, motors, cold rooms, furnaces)

Not for everyone

  • Looking for the cheapest quote, with no room for the verification process
  • Decisions that must close in days, with no room for initial discovery
  • Projects with no internal owner who can validate information
Honest questions

What people usually ask before reaching out

"It's more expensive than hiring someone internal."+

We're not competing with the cost of an internal hire — we're competing with the cost of a poorly sized project. The value is that the analysis has already been through a three-scenario verification methodology before a single peso is invested.

"How do I know you'll understand my business and not just apply a template?"+

The first step of any mandate is a specific discovery of your revenue, costs and objectives. If in the first meeting we show you a case from another industry as if it applied directly to yours, that's a sign we're not the right firm for you.

"We already had a bad experience with a consultancy that just delivered a nice-looking report."+

It's the most common reason new clients come to us. That's why every deliverable includes explicitly justified assumptions and three scenarios — you can see where every number comes from, not just the final conclusion.

"How long does it take to see concrete results?"+

It depends on the mandate, and we'd rather give you an honest range in the initial proposal than an optimistic date just to close the contract. From the first week you'll have clear visibility into where the project stands.

"What happens if the project doesn't go as projected?"+

No energy or expansion project is free of external variables. That's why we work with three scenarios from the start: the goal isn't to guarantee the optimistic one happens, but that none of the three catches you off guard.
